Printer supports direct text printing with the 'us-ascii' charset.
Comments
For basic printing functionality use the HPIJS driver . For advanced functionality such as printer status and maintenance features, use the HPLIP driver (which includes HPIJS).
This printer is functionally equivalent to the normal HP DeskJet, except for the optional font cartridges (I think) (which don't add anything, but also don't hurt anything). Mine works.
