There is an issue with provided PDD file if printing PDF files. This is explained here (http://forum.nginx.org/read.php%s31,35736) and here (http://cups.org/newsgroups.php%ss1+gcups.general+v9+T1+Q%22PostScript+problem+with+Xerox+Phaser+6280DN%22). It turns out that acroread and openoffice, given Xerox\'s Linux driver for the Phaser 6280DN, generate non-conforming PostScript that gives errors at the printer or when viewed by gv. Solution : (1) Get the filter oopstops from the CUPS website (search the links for this name) and install it in your /usr/lib/cups/filter directory (or what the directory is named in your installation). Current Ubuntu has this file already. (2) Edit your printer\'s PPD as follows: After the line reading \"*cupsVersion: 1.1\", insert the line *cupsPreFilter: \"application/postscript 0 oopstops\"
